Anyone who believes this crock of bull, I have some ocean front property for sale in Arizona.
You have to be a homosexual male to get hired to any position above that of a SPED Teacher. Ask Jack Gordan.
School gave me a good one because they do not want me to leave. Also, I am a good teacher, that might have something to do with it. I have seen Fat Pat, the new Super and his sidekick Academic Manager Danielle Miller give teachers 1's because they did not like them. A real pair of turds.
How can the districtg give evaluations to teachers who answer phones at the SEMS help desk, or drive desks and have no contact with students? Just wondering. Oh, it is a JOKE.
Send the ineffective teachers who have been hooked up with desk jobs back to the classroom and see how long this miserable old hag lasts. Because CCSD has to pay these bumps on a long, they delute the payroll and CCSD could be paying the real teachers, the classroom teachers, more instead of paying these wastes.

When CCSD wants to cut your pay and benefits because they cry poverty, ask them why they have so many ineffective a$$ kisser company boys and girls working outside the classroom.
Just want to know when will the elementary principals starts looking at my application(special education)? I want to move by the end of this month but have not called yet for interview. I am on the qualified selection pool and has a COE. Does it mean I will get hired with CCSD if given a COE? Thanks.
That's a new one. I've been with CCSD since 1995 and never heard of a COE. But then my office manager said that they have really been switching things up over in HR. I wonder if it's a part of the new "you have a job with CCSD but we get to place you at a school" thing they have going. The good part is that you have a job and the bad part is that there are some really rough schools in CCSD that always have great difficulty getting and keeping teachers past the required two year committment. Good Luck!!!
I have heard the words “taxes” and “education” used in the same sentence so often that they seem to go together like love and marriage. Raise the mining tax for education. A gross receipts tax and a property tax for education. If you add the words “for education” to any tax, how could anyone possibly be opposed to that? If any legislator stands in opposition to a tax “for education,” he or she will be will be considered a pariah for having little concern for “the children.”
It wasn’t always like this. There was a time when you didn’t hear as much about funding for education. It happened locally, and parents were concerned. You would think that reading, writing and arithmetic were different then, because now more than 30 percent of the students who finish high school are nearly illiterate. We have built a huge bureaucracy, beginning with the U.S. Department of Education, that seems to have forgotten what its purpose is. Their primary concern is that Nan and Bert are given a nutritious breakfast and lunch and get along with the other diverse groups. Whether they learn to read and write is secondary.
Lack of funding isn’t the problem. If we throw more money down this bureaucratic drain, I am sure we will hear them crying the same blues next year. There must be some fundamental changes in our society. Parents need to take responsibility for the children they brought into this world.
All kids don’t have the same potential. Some will be doctors and some will be laborers. We need them all. Don’t send your kid to college to take remedial classes, hoping that he or she will become another Albert Einstein.
Education has become today’s sacred cow, but we are feeding it too much, and the milk is going sour.
I'm trying to decide among a couple of job offers in different parts of the country. One of those offers is from CCSD. I'm trying to work out which one works financially, but one piece I'm missing is the amount of money that will come out of my paycheck for health insurance for my wife and myself.
Can anyone tell me how much they pay for an employee and a spouse? Is there an HMO, PPO, what? I was given no information with my offer of employment. I can't find a premium rate sheet online. I have emailed HR, but it is almost the end of the work day on Friday and I'd like to mull it over the weekend with all the facts.
Thanks, Mike
We have no children. If it is a huge amount, then I might go with a district in Texas.
Man, Bear Pig. I have the PPO and pay $34 a month. There are a few choices and HR is not going to have the info since CCSD does not run the health trust, the union does. Call the THT. You can get an HMO but you have to have referral from your Primary Doctor, to see specialist, my PPO, I can just go straight to the specialist. Differing co-pays etc.
Is there a dress code for students and teachers at CCSD? I'll be teaching science at CCSD starting next school year. I taught at a suburban school in NJ no dress code for kids or teachers. Most teachers came to school in jeans or khakis. Just curious.

Not your fault. This forum often detours into 'interesting' side conversations
I said "a couple". I'm sure NV teachers are excellent.

You know. A lawyer, doctor, pharmacist, nurse, and other licensed professionals. Not the idiots at my school who wear "Casual Friday" t-shirts and jeans. Real cute. They wonder why the kids do not take them seriously.
