I'm trying to decide among a couple of job offers in different parts of the country. One of those offers is from CCSD. I'm trying to work out which one works financially, but one piece I'm missing is the amount of money that will come out of my paycheck for health insurance for my wife and myself.
Can anyone tell me how much they pay for an employee and a spouse? Is there an HMO, PPO, what? I was given no information with my offer of employment. I can't find a premium rate sheet online. I have emailed HR, but it is almost the end of the work day on Friday and I'd like to mull it over the weekend with all the facts.

We have no children. If it is a huge amount, then I might go with a district in Texas.

I have the PPO and pay $34 a month. There are a few choices and HR is not going to have the info since CCSD does not run the health trust, the union does. Call the THT. You can get an HMO but you have to have referral from your Primary Doctor, to see specialist, my PPO, I can just go straight to the specialist. Differing co-pays etc.
