I really want to be able to job search in some other districts. What is the procedure for getting out of a contract over the summer incase I am offered a different position?
The reality for my district was if one resigned after that date, as long as someone else came along wanting your job (or you could find someone to recommend for it), they often would let you go without issue.

Dale Price and Mark Hill, candidates for the State Teachers Retirement System Board, earned the endorsement of both the Ohio Federation of Teachers and the Ohio Education Association. Teachers across the state will begin receiving ballots in the mail this weekend.
Dale Price and Mark Hill are the most qualified candidates to represent teachers on the STRS Board. Both are keenly focused on the critical role STRS Board members play in protecting the value of teacher pensions and health care for retirees.
It is extremely important, especially in these economic times, that STRS Board members have a deep understanding of how pensions work so they can act to preserve investments.
Dale Price is a math teacher in the Toledo Public Schools. Mark Hill is a math teacher in the Worthington City Schools. Both bring strong financial knowledge and investment and pension expertise to the role having received training on pension issues from national experts. They are committed to representing the best interests of their fellow teachers as members of the retirement board.
Price participated in national training conferences with seminars conducted by representatives of the National Public Pension Coalition, National Institute on Retirement Security, AFL-CIO, and AFT. Hill earned a Certificate of Achievement in Public Plan Policy on pensions from the International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plans.
Teachers want to know that smart, passionate people are making the right decisions about their retirement investments. As classroom teachers, Dale Price and Mark Hill share their concerns. Dale Price and Mark Hill will be strong voices on the STRS Board.
Teachers are encouraged to vote for Dale Price and Mark Hill when they receive their ballots from STRS this weekend.
STRS will mail ballots to teachers starting today. Teachers may vote for Dale Price and Mark Hill by mail, phone or online. All votes must be received by STRS by May 3, so those who plan to mail their ballots should do so a week or more before the deadline.

Are there any Columbus Academy teachers out there? If so, what is it like to work there? How is the pay? How is the teaching enviornment? Do you reccommend teaching there?
