I lack the thesis, but all courses, research and such are there. When looking over the Alt. Cert. information, all listed as requiring at least 6 hours of supplemental courses. I guess my collection of courses was more diverse than I thought.
I am reviewing the OGET study guide. Will all areas be on the test, or just the subject matter that you are interested in teaching? I am just starting the process of becoming alternatively certified. Thank You.
Has anyone taken the Wolrd History OSAT lately? If so, what was your essay question. I know it won't be the same but it will give me an idea of how it has been lately. Thanks in advance!

However, I have also seen some posts from people who invested in the additional study guides that you can find at Barnes and Noble or Amazon.
Can someone please compare/contract these two different guides that are available? I am going to purchase one or the other, and I'd like some feedback as to which ones worked for certain people. The OGET is around the corner for me: April 18!
Study guide 1:
OGET/OSAT (REA) - The Best Test Prep, Oklahoma Gen. Ed. and Subj. Area (Elem) (Test Preps) (Paperback)
Study guide 2:
CEOE OGET Oklahoma General Education Test 074 (Paperback) by Sharon Wynne
Can someone help me know what to study/a better study guide aside from the CEOE one? I NEED HELP - and I am getting frustrated - so frustrated it almost makes me want to give up. I have called CEOE many times and they are ignoring me. PLEASE HELP!
I am planning to take the OGET and the Journalism OSAT on April 18th. Has anyone taken the Journalism OSAT? I have no idea what to expect and am starting to freak out.

Did you find any response to your question and could you help me. I take it the 13th of Feb. Can you offer any help?
I have been teaching for 5 years in another state and have never attended a job fair before. Not really sure if it is worth it? It is HARD trying to find a job when you are out of state!
Do you really think that jobs are fairly scarce in this state right now? I would say we have more jobs available in education than most other states. What I have noticed is that there are not less jobs, but more teachers this year. More retired teachers and stay at home moms are returning to teaching for the extra income, because their spouse lost a job, or their retirement savings took a hit.
I'm just curious as to why you say jobs are scarce, as I haven't encountered that in the OKC area. Competition is fierce, but there are many jobs
