Do I have to memorize all the area, circle, rectangle, cube, etc formulas for area, perimeter, diameter, radius etc? I can easily compute the problems but have difficulty remembering what the formula is. Planning on taking OGET in May.

There have been previous posts on here that have indicated that the formulas are provided, so I think you should be good to go!
I currently teach at one of the roughest schools in Tulsa. I have applied for and am being interviewed this week for a job at Union Public Schools. What do you think of them? Are they good? I went to Broken Arrow as a kid and I wonder if they are pretty much the same thing....
I live in the Tulsa area and am having trouble finding any teaching jobs (contracts) because my certificate (through the alternative placement program) is in Journalism. There really are not that many Journalism jobs available I am finding. Any advice? Go back and test out in another subject? Thanks
Yes, add another subject to make yourself a more desirable applicant. English, Social Studies, Psychology/Sociology, and Speech/Drama would all be complementary areas that would help you land a job.
My certificate is in Journalism as well. I took the Elementary Education test and that solved my problem. That will enable you to teach all core subjects from 1st to 8th grade (math 1st to 6th). That will allow you to work until a Journalism class opens up.

It is to my understanding that if you pass any of the science osats you will be certified to teach middle school science.
I am taking the English 07 OSAT May 30th 2009 6-12 grade. Can anyone give me any information regarding test content. I have the study guides, just curious what exactly to be studying. Any help is extremely appreciated. Thank you so much.

Program is produced by the Radio & Television News Directors Foundation in conjunction with the Oklahoma Scholastic Media Association's Oklahoma High School Newspaper Workshop.
You do NOT have to be a journalism adviser to qualify.
For information and an application, see [link removed].
Any input on the middle school science test? Wanting to move up from elementary. Also can you be hired by a school district and given a window to pass the test in Oklahoma or do you have to pass it before you are hired?
Just wanted to ask when teachers are typically interviewed and hired in Tulsa. They haven't posted their job openings for the next school year. So it's stressing me out a little! Thanks!
I am also stressed out concerning TPS! Apparently, an "Early Offer List" exists within the district. Those who are on this 'A List' can and have received early contract offers! These opportunities do not present themselves as available job openings to mere mortals like you and me.I have yet to determine the qualifications and/or credentials one needs to be elevated to godlike status.
