OK PASS alignment with National Science Education Standards

I'm new to teaching 7th and 8th grade science. The only textbook I have is the 2000 edition of the Glencoe Science Voyages blue level. I do have a teacher's edition, but no teacher tools to go with it. My TE is not correlated to Oklahoma's PASS standards, but is correlated to National Science Education Standards. Business OSAT in September

I will be taking the business test next month and I am really nervous about it. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to focus on, other than the "study guide" on the website?

sms Go to Barnes and Noble and get a spark notes card for accounting. Just review that and you will be fine. Like the other post said, it is pretty basic.

5-year licenses

Acording to the website of SDE, "Effective July 1, 2009, licenses and certificates will be $50.00 and both will be valid for 5 years".

Does anyone know if the new policy means that you may upgrade a license to a certificate within 5 years (previously 3 years for the alternative program)?

Abbey O The OGET really isn't too tough. You can check out a book or buy it at Barnes and Noble ... it is called The Best Teacher's Test Preparation OGET & OSAT....but they have several other options on the shelf. They are not in the referrence section like one might expect, rather, you can find them in the "Oklahoma section".

As I await my Biology OSAT results, I have missed contracts for this school year. So, I figure I will use the next year to bulk up on the other sciences as many of the Rural School Districts ask for Biology and Physical Science as well.

I passed my OGET, however I failed the World History/Geography (018) by 4 points. I used the Kaplan AP World History book to study, but came up short. Does anyone have any ideas of other resources that I should use? Thanks, Craig
