What are your personal opinions in regards to the SEAS goals being used on IEP's. I feel they keep the IEP from being Individualized. Goals are to broad. Some of the language I find questionable as far as being measurable. Your thoughts, please.
LDAre there any practice tests out there that I can use to test what I know and what I need to brush up on? I'm taking the OSAT for intermediate math in July. Thanks!
I had the advantage of 2 years of math tutoring behind me and had been exposed to everything 7th grade to college in that time. There is geometry, basic statistics (probability), discreet math (high school level) it's really a mixed bag of stuff, when I took it, I was thinking "This is all over the place!!"
However, since the OSAT is not exactly a standardized test, I found that the PRAXIS study guide for chemistry was nearly spot-on for the OSAT chemitry. You may look at that, and SCHAUM's for algebra/geometry. Personally I wouldn't want to spent a lot of money, but these were all under 10 bucks (each) not long ago. The PRAXIS is a standardized test for teachers, but for some reason Oklahoma wants to be unique and have their own tests.

Study other states practice tests!!!! Go on quizlet website and study all those flash cards. I read so many art books during the time I was studying for this test. I was more afraid of this test than I was my two math certification tests!!!).
ECE OSAT is mostly common sense material. Narrow down your selections to best possible choice and ask yourself is this the best option for the child. I personally felt it was very biased to what theorist your modeled after. Just review the online study guide and you will do fine. The CR is set up just like you would have on the actual test. Good luck!

We have been told we have to attend a 3 day/ 2 night professional development in July to help us get along. We will receive no pay for this. Are we required to attend? Our contract ended June 30th.
