Were you able to find study material for the constructed response? I took the Mild/Moderate in December and did not pass the constructed response. Do you have any advise?

Tinisha CottaI also need to take this exam. Did you find any material you thought was best? I used REA for the OGET. I'm awaiting my results.

What is absolutely terrifying is that I messed up my writing section on my OGET. I read the promo incorrectly, and started writing about a different topic for 45 min. I finally realized that I messed up and re-wrote everything quickly and turned in a pretty weak writing section. I don't know how badly this is going to affect my score. I HOPE I PASS EVERYTHING!!!!
Dont worry too much on the essay as long as you turned in something with some thought. I took my oget and osat by hand in 2007. I have an old thumb injury that inhibits my ability to write. My hand was killing me so i did not do well at all on my constructed response section as i could only muster a little over a paragraph, but still passed. You are probably ok. I agree the wait time for results seem awfully antiquated.

I am currently a special education teacher in California. Due to family issues, I am considering moving to Oklahoma. If I retire from my job in CA, can I receive my CA pension and a salary in OK?

If you are vested in California, why wouldn't you receive both?
Oklahoma does pay into Social Security, while California does not. If you have at least ten years into SS, you WILL be affected by offsets or not eligible to receive SS.
The testing website has a small study guide. I bought a study guide from Amazon, you might check with your local library to see if they have a study guide you can check out. I took the test this past fall and the first 20 question covered accounting. Good luck!
Has anyone taken the OSAT Art Education Alternative Certification test? I am taking it soon and am not 100&37; sure what I need to be studying. Any pointers would be helpful!
