I passed the first time. I read the XAM book from the OPTE-6- 12. Also, one thing I made sure to do is use a lot of blooms taxonomy terminology on the essay questions. I heard that is what they look for so I studied up on the blooms terminology. My scores were pretty high so that must have been a part of it. Hope that helps.
Did anyone else take this test? If so how did you score and what did you write about? I chose kickboxing, though I know this is not really the greatest for high school it was the only thing that came to my mind for me to write about at the time without talking about multiple sports.

This coming fall, we are excited to announce that Oklahoma will be hosting its 2nd annual October Archaeology Month!
This year our objective is to increase community involvement and shift our focus towards promoting education and the future of archaeology. The theme of this year’s archaeology month is centered on the program Project Archaeology ([link removed].
In 2014, Oklahoma archaeology was showcased through numerous events that included visits to museums, state parks, and opportunities to interact with artifacts and archaeologists from the University of Oklahoma. The archaeology month poster was a successful way to distribute the events across the state, and this year we have decided to have a poster contest. We would like for students to create pictures that illustrate the question: “What does archaeology mean to you?”
The class that best illustrates the meaning of archaeology will receive a brand new set of art supplies! The winners will have their drawings circulated across the state on the poster which will later be entered into the Society for American Archaeology’s national contest for archaeology month posters.
The purpose is to get students involved and give them a way to hear and learn about archaeology not only in the classroom, but in a fun way that allows them to be creative and an essential part of the 2015 Oklahoma Archaeology Month.
If you are interested in participating, please respond to this by e-mail before April 15th. If there are any questions please feel free to e-mail me at jadenb.[email removed] .
Taking my OPTE (pk-8) this month. Any help on the essay part would be GREATLY appreciated!! I'm super nervous! I purchased the study guide from the website and a study book on ebay. I THINK I can do alright on the multiple choice....but the 3 essay questions are really freaking me out!
Hope you did...See MoreI have taken this test a couple times and always do bad on the essay questions! It's very aggravating but I also have been out of school for many years. I think the study guide is not very good. I feel that they give you questions for both opte tests and it's not k-8 specific. Very irritating when you want a true study guide.
Hope you did well on your test!

I am getting ready to take the OGET next week, and am wondering if the math formulas are still on the test. I had heard they have been in the past, but was wondering if anything has changed for 2014. Thanks!
Has anyone taken the OSAT for Early Education and if so were there any questions on theorist and theories? Thanks, any information would be greatly appreciated.
Anyone know how the final score of an OSAT test is figured? My daughter got a 239 but when i figure the 5 test totals at 85% and the one written test score at 15% and add them up we get 243. We also have heard that the rescoring is not recomended. Anyone ever had score changed by rescoring? Thanks
Did you ever get any suggestions or ideas to pass this test?
