Earlier this week, I was doing bus duty with a sub who used to live and teach in the Salem area. When I found this out, I mentioned that my husband and I were kicking around moving to the Portland area, and she stated that she didn't think that art was offered in the public school systems in Portland or in Oregon in general. Is this true?
anonI don't believe that is true. In the school district where I sub, in southern Oregon, there are even art teachers for elementary. You could actually check the school district websites and look at any staff lists to see if indeed there are art teachers.
