My boyfriend wants to move to Oregon (Eugene area) to be
near family. I am a teacher who has been out of school for
three years and can't find a job. I work as an aide for
two years and there have been no openings. I've checked
out the public school websites and there aren't that many
jobs. I was hoping for some advice/suggestions from Oregon
residents and teachers. If I moved there would I be able
to find a job? If I can't work there then I don't think it
would be wise to move. Help! Thanks

Oregon has a glut of unemployed teachers or teachers who are stuck in the substituting rut. We have 11 colleges that have teacher ed programs, oregon is a great state and once people move here they usually do not want to move.
