Hi, I am wondering if anyone out there can answer this
question for me. After several years of working for a
private residentail setting, I have moved into the Chariho
School district. They are taking out 9.2% of my salary as
retirement and when I questioned it, they said it was
mandatory. I am wondering if all districts do this state
wide or not. It adds up to quite a bit of money each month
and while I understand the necessity of retirement, as a
single mom, I need the money now for the next couple of
years. I expect to work till I die anyway. :) Not sure I
like the idea that anyone can tell me how much of my SALARY
I have to put towards retirement. Any info would be
great! THANKS

That's a good question. I have encountered the same thing in
Cumberland.

This year there are meetings on October 13, October 19, and
October 20. All me...See More
