I applied to the Charleston School District and am curious as to which elementary schools are good and which are questionable. Last week I was offered a third grade job for a school in Beaufort County but turned it down. They didn't even have a curriculum let alone text books for their students! I was in a TAP school for four years. I think the first year was the most effective. I do think if done correctly it does help us to teach better, but I don't see any great improvement on the students. SC Teacher No More I'd strongly consider getting a different degree. Teaching positions will shrink by about 30% in SC over the next few years as we are one of the states with declining students and more virtual schools are being approved.

Masters degrees in Public Administration, Public Health or Hospital Administration are good ones.
