All you need to do is submit your name and school address. I will add your name to a database of other teachers. In mid-to late October, you will address a post card (with a pic of the area you live and info about your state) to the schools listed. In return, you should receive a postcard from the other schools.
Worried about the cost? I am going to ask parents for donations of stamps and possibly post cards. I am going to see if I can get any stores to donate the post cards, as well.
I plan to post a map of the U.S. in the hall and hang the post cards around it with the cities marked. Also, you can put in the address in Google Earth and find the locations that way too.

My husband, two kids and I are considering moving to VA. How is the job market for teachers? What are the average salaries? I have an M.A. I have 75 units beyond my B.A., and I currently make $70K with 11 years experience, which doesn't go far on Southern California. Is moving worth a look? What districts would you suggest and warn against?
Hey Everyone, I am looking for a teacher (any grade) from South Carolina to join in on the upcoming 2008-2009 post card exchange! If you are interested in joining or would like more information please email me at [email removed]
I'm a recent college grad from Indiana looking to teach high school English. I had a pretty stellar college career, but was not an education major. I've had one year of subbing experience.
What do you suppose my chances are for finding employment in SC this school year?
Best wishes to all! I look forward to your response.

I am doing some research for my organization and was wondering if someone could help me. I need to know the minimum passing grade acceptable for the student teaching portion of obtaining the teaching credential in the state. Does it vary from University to University or is there a bare minimum grade required that is known to be acceptable state wide? Thanks to all who respond.

Are you wanting your students to learn more about the USA this year? If so, you are in luck with the 2008-09 postcard exchange! Our goal is to have every state represented for our exchange. South Carolina is not represented yet. If you are wanting to participate, please email me the following information:
name, school name, school address, email, and the grade you teach
Please send all emails to: [email removed]
We only need one person from each state. The first to email me will be able to participate. :)
