Our school uses Infinite Campus Gradebook. I am wondering why this program allows any teacher on campus who has access to Infinite Campus can view all of the students' grades and information especially the itemized grades. This seems like a violation of the students' rights. As a parent, I would not want just any teacher to be able to see my child's grades on each assignment. And also, as a teacher, I do no want all teachers to see all the assignments I give each day.
This is a question for you district. They would be the ones who set the user rights for your teachers. Our district only allows the teachers to see the grades/assignments for the students in their classes. Same goes for who sees what assignments you post. Works Great!

FERPA...if you want to change this, go to the teachers' tool rights and uncheck the box for "Allow Unfiltered Search". This will only enable teachers to view data on students they teach
I understand that there are some districts in SD that have been using Math Investigations for a long time. I wondered what you think of the program and how effective it has been. Thanks for sharing

As part of a graduate research project, I need to gather data from current teachers. I’m researching the use of technology in the classroom and what factors affect it. If you could just take a few minutes to complete my survey, I’d appreciate it. The survey is online and has 15 questions.
Hello all! I'm looking for an elementary class that is interested in a postcard exchange project. If you, or someone you know, is interested please let me know. I'm missing a participant for your state.
For this exchange, we will all send a postcard to the other 49 state participants during the school year that contains a real-life (not kid-drawn) picture of their state (or a feature of the state) and some fun facts for the students to learn. (I saw vistaprint.com had some good deals on state postcards bought in bulk). Once I gather all the state participants, I'll forward the addresses of everyone before school starts (in label format so you can peel and stick). In this email I will let everyone know what month they are to send their cards out. This way we get them throughout the year. I will also try my best to send a friendly reminder at the beginning and end of the month for those who are to send out to help remind everyone.
Please email me with the following information so I can mark you down as the participant for your state.
Your name (with appropriate abbr. Miss, Ms., Mrs., Mr.) Your school name Your school address Your grade level
If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me!

Only 1 elementary classroom from each state will be represented & it's on a 1st come, 1st serve basis. Email me immediately ([email removed]!
Once I add you to my state list and close that state, I will send you a confirmation email (Yippee) that you've made it in!
When all 50 states are represented I will compose a mailing list and email it to you. I will create the state list in a label ready format for you to just print out!
You will be mailing 49 postcards(ask for postcard & postage donations from PTA/PTO, parents, grants, etc.)
Postcards should start to be be mailed out in September. All postcards should be postmarked by Friday, December 19, 2008. This works out to be about 3-4 postcards per week which is definatly managable.
If your interested, and serious about following through, please email me:
Your name Grade Level school name school address
*(Also let me know if you'd like to be in this exchange annually or not. This way we can secure a base of states for the following school year!)
I will let you know if you've made it into this exchange.
Come join in on the fun and endless teaching opportunities that await you AND your students!
Well-organized, reliable postcard exchange in its second year needs a teacher from the Mount Rushmore State! This is a fun, rewarding, and easy project that you don't want to miss!!
AK, CO, CT, DE, HI, ID, MN, MT, NE, NH, ND, OR, RI, SD, VT, WV, WY, DC
You send info about your state and receive a postcard for each state in return. Its a great way to learn short letter writing, addressing postcards, location of the states and a wealth of knowlwdge.
Your class will be asking every day if they got any new postcards!
This is a question for you district. They would be the ones
who set the user rights for your teachers. Our district only
allows the teachers to see the grades/assignments for the
students in their classes. Same goes for who sees what
