Georgia needs plenty of math and science teachers. But
remember, this is a racist state.

People's Republic of Calif? Hardly....only 12% of teachers in Los
Angeles county can afford a home.....still, as a teacher, I have it
pretty good here with a strong union and fully funded health
benefits.....if worker's rights are socialist, well, then I guess I
am a socialist

I am interested about the Atlanta area, and if its comfortable
being a teacher of color out there.

If you walk the streets of downtown Atlanta, it is almost
impossible to find a true southerner. As far as racism, we can
all deny it, but parents still teach it to their children
everywhere.

The greater Atlanta area is home to a growing Asian community, who
are concentrated in the northeast. Atlanta is cosmopolitan,
drawing people from around the US and overseas. I think you will
feel comfortable there.
