Last year I completed my MA in political science. This year
I've been running my own business that I will soon sell to
pursue a teaching career. I don't have any formal secondary
education in my college utility belt, but I want to teach
secondary social studies.

So I need to get licensed, but I want to teach in another
state (the salary difference to me just seems too
compelling to stay). I don't want to pay out of state
tuition to some outside University, so I'm thinking of
getting certified here and then looking elsewhere. The cost
of the license program would be over double if I were to
move and do it elsewhere. Does anyone have any experience
with that? Is that crazy?

I've thought about alternative licensing, but that seems
like you need to stay put for at least 3 years and I'm
looking to move elsewhere within a year or so. Any thoughts
about alternative licensing.
