I'll be moving to Utah this August. I am certified K-5, and 6-12 ELA/English. I haven't yet applied for a Utah teacher license.

I've checked out salaries and the curriculum in Utah, but I am most concerned with teacher morale in Utah. Overall, are teachers happy with working conditions in Utah? I know the economy is tough nationally, but I have been told that Utah is "looking' for teachers. Would you agree with that statement? Please share any thoughts about your teaching in Utah. Thank you for taking the time to answer!
PSB I think it depends on where you are going in Utah. In our little town out in the desert we have four schools and in having worked in all of them and listening to the teachers chat at lunch, some are very happy in one of the schools (probably because they all work together more so than the other schools, they are more of a cohesive unit). Thanks PSB! Thank you for responding, PSB! I am relocating near Ogden/ Layton area. My fiance has accepted a job at Hill AFB, so we will have to live close enough for him to commute to work.
