Any Loudoun teachers know how to drop the LEA? I am going to join the VPE for less money since we are a non union state anyway. They really cannot do anything for us exceot beg to the Board of Supervisors....I am assuming I have write a letter but I am not sure. Thanks!

Good choice! You will need to let Payroll know that you are dropping LEA by calling them. If you want to give LEA the courtesy of letting them know too, that's up to you. But call payroll quick so that they can stop deductions.

LEA saved 2 jobs for my friends I am simply going to say that over the past 5 years, I have had 2 friends who were ridden by principals. Both were put on "Administrative Leave". BOTH got their jobs back THANKS TO THE LEA. I am staying with them. They get you your job back when admin is trying to get rid of you....as long as you are tenured..3 years of service in Louduon...

Really?!? If you can go into detail, fine, but if not, I understand. I have a few friends who are graduating next year and were asking about Loudoun. Did this happen recently? Also, could you mention the schools? It's a shame, because people wonder why Loudoun teachers are always posting on these boards. It's a shame, because people wonder why Loudoun teachers are always posting on these boards. If they read between the lines and see how their teachers are treated by the admin, or how the admin doesn't appreciate how hard the teachers work or if they improve the scores, one can see why. I am glad I work "outside" of Loudoun.

Oh, I have many friends who teach in Loudoun, some of which belong to LEA, and they are happy with the recent way that the LEA is helping and backing up the teachers. I also have a few others who are working for principals who are not supportive, so I will have to show them these posts!
