As the start of the new year approaches, I'm becoming less and less optimistic about my chances of finding a position. Is there still hope?
Bob/VA There's always hope.. Keep checking the website of the district(s) you are interested in to see if they still have positions posted. Most (not all) but most are quite good about keeping their job sites up to date

That's what I keep trying to tell myself but it's getting harder. I seem to think you are in Loudoun - am I right? That is one of my top choices but they never seem to have positions listed for my subject. I usually hear about them by word-of-mouth, and by then it is too late. What to do?

Judy The thing that's discourageing is school divisions who hire from within. There are several in the N.VA area that do that. It's difficult to get into those divisions. Any suggestions - besides substituting??
