The new LCPS report card takes about 10 times longer to complete. Why? Because every assessment is tied to an objective, and there are about 100+ math ones to choose from. The teachers are asked to assess and assess some more, to the point of burnout for the students and teachers alike. Then, the report card automatically populates a grade and other areas (meets, exceeds, etc.). The problem is that it is incorrect, thus the teacher has to override grades. And there are many more reporting categories to consider. It is rolled out fully in 5 schools, with others to go online fully next year. The time factor is incredible!
Is this a "done deal" system wide or... ... are the 5 schools only piloting the the thing?

If it's all that bad teachers should/must be providing feedback to admins/central office/or whoever dreamed it up.

Are you saying there is a flaw in the software or that you disagree with the computerized category based on assessment scores?

Easy I teach in LCPS and I breezed through the report cards. It is just a game. Play it and be quiet. I am an elementary 3rd grade teacher too.......TONS OF ASSESSMENTS....new report cards are EASY!!!

Typical Typical Loudoun teacher response, "Play it and be quiet." What kind of a response is that? What happened to professionalism? Fairfax teachers, as well as others, wouldn't post something like that. As a matter of fact, I hardly see any negative posts. I guess Loudoun teachers (or at least a few of them) think that they are better than everyone else....See More
