Moving to VA...your help needed!

My husband and I are both 30 years old (no kids yet...only dogs) and will be moving to VA in the next few months if everything goes right. I have started the process of applying for teacher certification. I have my certification in K-6 el education and have taught for the past 3 years.

My husband will be working in Springfield, VA. We are sort of a down to earth but modern couple. We have lived in the fast paced downtown city lifestyle, lived in a house in the suburbs, and lots of apartments while going to college and starting our careers. We both agree that we have enjoyed the energy of the downtown city lifestyle the most. We walked everywhere and there were always events going on nearby. However, I also enjoy being outdoors and enjoying nature.

I love nature and look forward on weekends or even during the week to do outdoorsy things such as hiking on a mountain, biking, or jogging outside. Atleast being close enough to drive somewhere scenic.
