Got a screening interview for this county wondering if anybody can tell me a little bit about it, is it a good county to work for? Is the pay good? any info would be great

Karen I am thinking of applying, but does anyone know what the commute is like from Bethesda to Prince William County? Should I try for a position in Manassas City Public Schools if the commute is shorter? BTW, what is the language arts program in Prince William?

PWCS teacher The commute to Manassas MIGHT be shorter (though either will be a bear), it all depends on where in the county you teach. There are county schools across the street from the city boundary and county schools closer to I95 and I66 than the city schools are and others are much further west or in the middle of the county.

Karen It is hard to get a job in MCPS. I met with personnel at a job fair re PWCPS and they made the commute seem short. When you say the commute will be long, do you mean at least an hour? If so, is that to Manassas City or PWC? I thought about applying to Manassas City, but you mentioned things were not so great...what is wrong with them?
