I'm in a high demand field and interviewed at a school in PWC about 4 weeks ago. I was forced to turn in my supplement to my continuing contract last week...they threatened me with termination, but I'm still waiting to hear from the school I interviewed with. I also received an email yesterday from ANOTHER school in the county stating that they would be contacting me soon. I would SO much prefer to work in PWCS...at this point I have to worry whether or not WC will release me.

Things have changed a lot in PWCS in the last year or so because of the budget. I know they were waiting for all the overstaffed teachers to get an assignment before they could hire anyone from the outside.
