Hi all~ I didn't know that this board existed until today!

Anyways, I am registered to take the VRA this coming Saturday and I am SO NERVOUS! I have been reviewing out of 2 study guides (XAM book and Momedia). Do any of you have any recommendations for me? I know it's last minute, but advice would be appreciated.

I'm super nervous about the 4 essays... do any of you have any advice as to what I should study more for these essays?

We just moved to NoVA from AZ. I'm licensed in AZ, but just graduated with my masters in special education so I have no teaching experience as of yet, except student teaching.

Thank you in advance!

Bulldog Yes I am a teacher. Fortunately, I didn't have to take the VRA or VCLA. I had to take the Praxis 1 and 2. I have, however, helped a lot of teachers work on the VRA and VCLA. You are right that literacy is a focus in VA. Most people I know passed both tests on the first try. I'm sure you did fine on the test. Keep us informed and good luck on the VC...See More

Suzanne You're lucky. Maybe you can help me study for the VRA if I didn't do well. Crossing my fingers, I did though... the VCLA... is that hard too? Do you recommend buying the study guide? I still have to search to see if there is one....
