I'm hoping someone can answer the following questions for
me: Are all openings for elementary school teachers in the
Burlington area advertised on Schoolspring? Or do the
school districts just expect potential applicants to
submit resumes, not necessarily in response to a specific
ad? When do the school districts do most of their
hiring?
I am an elementary teacher currently teaching in the UK
and my wife and I hope to move to the Burlington area in
the summer of 2008 (assuming I can find work). Lately
I've been checking Schoolspring to get an idea of how many
positions become available in a given year; I was
surprised to see that so far this year there have been
very few ads for elementary school teachers in the
Burlington area and I'm wondering why that is. If anyone
could help me out with this, I'd be most grateful.
