Could anyone please help me with a motel/hotel that would be close to the convention center or Double Tree Hotel (around 322 N. Spokane Falls Court) and perhaps be fairly reasonably priced? THANKS in advance! And yes, I've checked hotel sites, but addresses are confusing & I want proximity to the convention center, but also convenience for downtown shopping/attractions - is that possible? Thanks again!
Teachers, If you are looking for an internet project to get involved in this year, please check this out. It will begin the first week of October and run through February. It will tie Social Studies and Science curriculum together through comparing community and weather data. I have done this project in the past, students enjoy it and they learn a great deal. Use the link to see the details, if you are interested please leave your information at the site on the 'i note! If you see that someone from your state has joined, that is okay. We can have multiple participants from the same state. If you have any further questions email me. Thanks, Terry Stoufer Project Coordinator
I'm currently a student in Federal Way District looking for an Art tutor to help me succeed getting into a Design School. It hasn't been easy to find a decent tutor teacher available in my area. Please email me at >[email removed]
Currently I looked up the positions that are available in Gallup. There are 67 Elementary and Secondary positions that are available. I am sure that if you would like to teach a subject that is not listed on here and you have a college education, I will probably be able to find a position for you. Currently everyone, who has emailed me, I have been able to find a teaching postion for them. I have had a 100% success rate for finding teachers jobs this summer. However, only 8 people have emailed me. Only one of them has a teaching degree. Although, all of them are extremely motivated to teach. All that it takes in order to teach in Gallup is to have a great attitude and a college degree. I have great confidence that those who are going to teach this year will make an impact in this community.
When I was young and my parents were teachers, I shook my head and did not know why they wanted to become a teacher. I just emailed a few people and I submitting a response on why I wanted to become a teacher. I swore I would never enter into that teaching field. Now, many years later, I have joined the teaching profession and swear that I will no longer join another occupation. There seems to be a great intrinsic feeling when a child grasps a concept or when you know that you have made a difference in the world. It is amazing on how fast your actions could be duplicated. A teacher works with 180 different students a year. Those 180 students interact with many more people throught a year. If the actions of what you say can make a difference in the kids that you teach immagine how a lifetime of teaching can change the world. Every one of these positions that I am listing below in this email is available. Some of these positions are listed more than once. They are listed more than once because there are more than one of the same positions available. If you know of anyone who would like to teach in that particular position, please let me know and I will email them. Please send me your address in order for me to send you an application. You can call me if you have any possible questions. You can contact me at:

Let's get some lively , practical, local discussion going.
What kind of field trips do you take in support of your curriculum? Include your location, the subject, and grade level to help us sort them out. What local resources have great programs?
Here in Yakima, the Yakima Arboretum has hands on and observational activities in backpacks. You follow the itinerary and have a plan and materials for different habitat areas in the park. Great science activity for grades 1-?
