I'm currently considering becoming an elementary school teacher, 2nd or 3rd grade. If all goes well, I should be finished with my teacher certification program and be ready to teach by the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year. Some people have been telling me to reconsider teaching in Washington because of the recent layoffs and budget cuts. I'm hopeful that things will pick up in the next few years by time I'm able to teach but wanted to get some input... Any advice would be appreciated.
