We are looking for our fifth and sixth grade teacher Mrs. Nicole Lutzsky. She taught at Sageland Elementary in El pASo, TX for six years and then she moved back to Wisconsin to be closer to home. If you know where she is please contact us. We are her ex students; Julian & Laura.
OzTeach is Australia's first and only online directory where teachers wishing to organise a teaching exchange or holiday swap can register their details. Each exchange or holiday swap is displayed as a mini "web page" complete with photo albums and relevant information. You can spend hours reading the different profiles, viewing photos and visiting links to teacher exchange and holiday swap locations all over the world. Check them out at the link below!
We are a new postcard exchange, and we need a kinder, first, or second grade class from Wisconsin to participate. You will need to purchase 50-55 postcards to mail to all of the other states (and maybe a few to Canada). I am compiling all of the information, and will send all of the addresses out as soon as all of the "spots" are filled. In return, you will receive a postcard from every state, all throughout the year. This is a very exciting project! Please join us!
Hello! I am interested in having my 5 year old son learn Spanish, but am having a difficult time trying to find anyone to teach him. I firmly believe that the sooner he learns a foreign language, the better. Can anyone help or recommend someone? We live in a western suburb of Milwaukee. Thank you. -Rejean
I have a 21 month old nephew and his father is from Mexico and his mother is from the states. She and the baby's father speak Spanish to the child but my parents and myself speak English to the child. He undestands both languages although he is not able to speak much. He mumbles a few words in Spanish when he is around his mother and father, but he mumbles words in English when he is around my parents and me.
When my nephew was younger he would see and hear Hispanics speak Spanish and just stare trying to comprehend their sentences. Moments later he would hear an Asian couple speak and turn around away from them, knowing it was not his 1st or 2nd language.
5 is not too young to teach a child Spanish. That is about the age they start school. Do not have the child learn a lot though. It can confuse them while they are in school, but basic words such as colors and numbers is a great start. I started taking Spanish classes when I lived in Wisconsin in 1st grade after school. My second grade I went to a school with a large percentage of Hispanics so I learned Spanish during regular school hours. I had been taking it since then, but most of my childhood Spanish has been a lot of repition and review.
Has your child watched Dora the Explorer? Some of the words she uses are basic words a child can pick up on without over doing it.
I hope you will find someone to teach your child Spanish. It is a wonderful language and is on the rise.

Teachers, If you are looking for an internet project to get involved in this year, please check this out. It will begin the first week of October and run through February. It will tie Social Studies and Science curriculum together through comparing community and weather data. I have done this project in the past, students enjoy it and they learn a great deal. Use the link to see the details, if you are interested please leave your information at the site on the 'i note! If you see that someone from your state has joined, that is okay. We can have multiple participants from the same state. If you have any further questions email me. Thanks, Terry Stoufer Project Coordinator
Currently I looked up the positions that are available in Gallup. There are 67 Elementary and Secondary positions that are available. I am sure that if you would like to teach a subject that is not listed on here and you have a college education, I will probably be able to find a position for you. Currently everyone, who has emailed me, I have been able to find a teaching postion for them. I have had a 100% success rate for finding teachers jobs this summer. However, only 8 people have emailed me. Only one of them has a teaching degree. Although, all of them are extremely motivated to teach. All that it takes in order to teach in Gallup is to have a great attitude and a college degree. I have great confidence that those who are going to teach this year will make an impact in this community.
When I was young and my parents were teachers, I shook my head and did not know why they wanted to become a teacher. I just emailed a few people and I submitting a response on why I wanted to become a teacher. I swore I would never enter into that teaching field. Now, many years later, I have joined the teaching profession and swear that I will no longer join another occupation. There seems to be a great intrinsic feeling when a child grasps a concept or when you know that you have made a difference in the world. It is amazing on how fast your actions could be duplicated. A teacher works with 180 different students a year. Those 180 students interact with many more people throught a year. If the actions of what you say can make a difference in the kids that you teach immagine how a lifetime of teaching can change the world. Every one of these positions that I am listing below in this email is available. Some of these positions are listed more than once. They are listed more than once because there are more than one of the same positions available. If you know of anyone who would like to teach in that particular position, please let me know and I will email them. Please send me your address in order for me to send you an application. You can call me if you have any possible questions. You can contact me at:
