So you condem one side for these tactics but encourage your own side to use them? Thats whats wrong with this country today. Everyone only gives a darn about themselves and not working together. This country is going to fall because BOTH sides are greedy and corrupt. And we only have ourselves to blame and it serves us right!!!

You are not alone WI, IL, and OH! Teachers in TN are having the same issues. More than 1,000 of us marched in Nashville yesterday protesting anti-teacher legislation being passed by republican lawmakers.
I've got 3 children in college now and wouldn't dare let them major in education!
Okay why not write an on line letter to the campus newspaper where you got your degree and tell the students to change majors but GET OUT OF THE SCHOOL OF EDUCATION. I did
it sounds like those of you in dale shultz's district need to keep the presure on, even walker himself expects that he will vote for the people and against walker.
9those of you in micheal ellis district also need to step up your calls and emails, he cant be recalled yet, but he needs to be reminded where he comes from, a union district and a union family)
sounds like recalls for dan kapenke, cowels (sp?) harper and luthor olsen are also going well.
keep up the good work Wisconsin!!! your democratic 14 are heros to the rest of the country! you might want to call or email them and thank them for standing up for the people and standing against walker, the khoke (sp?) brothers and large corporations =)

I have organized unions, I have picketed with unions, I have organized pickets, and when I cant be somewhere physically like WI, I support them with money (and pizza, check out Ians pizza, you can send pizza to the people picketing)
i am thrilled that walker has been stopped by a judge from implimenting his union busting legislation, and I hope the recall efforts are going as well as i am led to believe.

Home SchoolerYEA! Recall the ones who balanced the budget! Recall those who stopped forced union membership allowing freedom of choice! YEA! If you don't like it, go somewhere else! 300-400 applicants will then apply for each of your jobs, and maybe they won't spin everything to the left.
There were two applicants for my job when I got hired five years ago, and there are more than the usual number of teaching jobs available this year due to an unusual number of retirements. Plus, a lot of my students with bright prospects are reconsidering going into education now. I think your numbers are a bit off, at least in the area where I teach.
[...See MoreI have been argueing on behalf of Wisconsin teachers and public workers online for a couple of weeks now here in IL.I am getting tired of the lies and deceit being passed around as truth online.here are a couple of examples. please pass this around to any union members you know and let these type of people know how out of touch they are.

The people know 2+2=4. The unions think 2+2=8. I would love a deal where I only had to contribute 0.2% of my wages to my retirement and the taxpayers pay the rest and I can retire at age 55 while the people who funded the other 99.8% of my pension work until they are 65-70!!!!!!! And these teachers only work 9 months a year. ARE YOU KIDDING ME HERE?
and another
They came in large numbers to demonstrate and protest. They urinated on the floor. Defaced the rotunda of the Madison state capital building causing outrageous damage and untold expense to repair. They threatened and intimidated the legislators. They even made death threats, oral and written. Today they were thrown out on their asses. They lost. The money laundering operation called "Collective Bargaining" was soundly defeated today and signed into law by Governor Walker. The citizens of WI will no longer be fleeced of their hard earned money to allow outrageous union power. Today is a great day. I wonder if the 14 state senate holdouts who fled the state will go back now. Who really cares at this point.
What is even more interesting now is that 17 other states are considering similar legislation. Michigan leads the way now. The unions are getting a serious dose of reality and taxpayer outrage and humility. Of those 17 states, a few of them are democratically controlled. But you won't hear about that in the media. Only stories that revolve around republican efforts are getting the big splash. This is because the democrats are lying animals. Undermining the sovereignty of taxpayers and states by an elite club of union backed financial manipulators is the purpose for the grand game played by these repulsive unions. They wallow in a toxic stew of denial, hypocrisy, greed, larceny, and class envy. They hide behind the visage of people like Vivian Schiller and NPR radio and the NAACP and Code Pink and get high from the fumes of all the waste these monsters of manipulation create. They cheer when Nancy Pelosi announces, "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it" and then get pissed off when the tables are turned and cry out, for the denizens of CNN, MSLSD, and Air America....foul, shame, how dare you!! Go home ya sonsabitches. Your dance with the devil is over.
The link here provides further proof of the charade the union mongers cling to. Check out the posts for Video: Wisconsin Capital....and the Salaries of WI Administrators. When Joe Biden whispered into Barack Obama's ear This is a big f*ucking deal he was right. It really is. THE TRUTH can be brutal.

You evidently haven't learned yet that this isn't about the benefits. It's about fair treatment in the work place, class sizes, etc. I'm so sorry that you didn't study in school to learn how to research what you wish to comment upon or discuss. I hope some day you take advantage of the opportunity to go back to school so that you can learn how to write intelligently with correct spelling and grammar. Best wishes for your future.

Hi, I taught elementary school for 15 years, then went into the world of business over ten years ago. I'd like to go back to teaching. How do I get me certification as soon as possible so that I can start filling out teaching job applications?
Why Can’t We Admit Why Most City Schools Are Failing Our Students? An English teacher in suburban Philadelphia was suspended for calling her students ''disengaged, lazy whiners''. An English teacher in suburban Philadelphia was suspended for calling her students ''disengaged, lazy whiners''. I’m not a supporter of her approach, she has active students. However, I believe she was trying to say what so many are unwilling to say because it is not politically correct or they fear of reprisal. Therefore, I’ll say it and let the whining begin. The largest two parts of the equation are the upbringing of the student and the teaching process. These are the top reasons for students not being properly educated (period). I’ll address the larger of these two pieces, upbringing. There, I said it, ouch, OMG, shoot that messenger, you bigot, you uncaring dolt, you bad person, prejudice, prejudice. I can hear it already. To hear pundits speak you’d swear there was a conspiracy to hire only the bad teachers for our schools. I could not disagree more! As Chairman of the SNAP Foundation I’ve worked in all types of schools from coast to coast. I’ve learned that most teachers are passionate, dedicated, highly skilled, and give every day from their hearts. So let’s stop the BS. In all good schools the equation for success is always the same. Successful students have parents that endow their children with skills, and expectations. They provide a guiding force, teach respect, how to interact with peers, expect manners, do not allow fighting, set bed times, limit TV, cell phones, and internet use. Most importantly they provide constant support and a sense of security to the student. All of these traits have nothing to do with wealth or poverty they are skills that good parents have. However here’s more truth, MOST of the recalcitrant students are being raised by poorly educated parents, grandparents, great grandparents and live in single parent homes. That is so hard to say but if you’re unwilling to admit this you are not willing to solve the problem. These students have poor work habits, homework is not being done, they are disruptive and display poor behavior constantly. They lack basic respect for adults, meaningful consequences, and need strict supervision. In most cases these children started kindergarten already behind and they stayed behind and this progressed over the years. Then anger, boredom, disrespect, contempt, insolence, and impertinence etc. took over and the affect reaches out to all in the classroom and has an effect on everyone. Now multiply this time’s 5 or 10 children in one classroom and you get the picture why success for the majority of students gets to be a very tough goal to reach. If you don’t believe me try visiting almost any classroom in any high school in your school system. Why do certain charter schools succeed when others do not? Could it be that parents expect students to be respectful, meet with the teachers as expected and back the teacher when they say that little Johnny has been a jerk or is failing a subject and needs extra help. Is it because both the parent and child know the consequence of not meeting expectations might mean being tossed out of school? Could it be that student behaviors started when they were babies not when it came time for the child to start school. The problem is fixable if we can get past the politically correct BS and get our top administrators and the Governor to address this. Then we will discover that students have a desire to achieve in a peacefully classroom. Edward A. Gartz email: [email removed]]
