If WI teachers were to lose collective bargaining...

There is no funding for education right now across the entire country. Classroom size has increased. Teachers have been furloughed, laid off, and even terminated as a result of budget cuts. Not only does this hurt the students, but it also hurts education. Most teachers want to do what is right for their students, without being disrespected by their respective communities. Without unions and/or collective bargaining, teachers will be at the mercy of government officials, who are not in the business. Eliminating collective bargaining for this group of people would give the legislators total control over education including the budget, curriculum, personnel, everything. The future of the USA is in our children. If they are not educated, who will care for us when we are old? Who will become the scientists, engineers, doctors, etc.?
