My name’s Jim and I’m a semi-retired teacher and coach. If someone would have shared this opportunity with me when I was 25 and told me that I could be retired by age 30 with a monthly residual income that was ‘out of this world’, knowing what I know now, I would have jumped at the chance.
That’s exactly what I’m offering you; a way to leverage $80 a month into a 4-6 figure monthly residual income in approximately 24 months. It’s a simple concept based on numbers and, we all know, numbers don’t lie.
I would love to have the chance to tell you more, but for now, please go to my website and see for yourself. Enter your name, email and phone number (no obligation to look), and watch the 4 short video presentations. If you like what you see, get on the waiting list and secure your position in this home-based business that can be your vehicle to financial freedom in a very short time. I hope to hear from you soon because it really does work!
I'm in a position where the change of even one or two students in population makes a huge difference to whether my job exists! So why are they forcing me (and others) to go through this agony and job search for something that probably isn't going to happen but I"m not willing to bet my paycheck on?

MORE CUTS TO COME AS THE DOMINO EFFECT IS JUST STARTING:)

Searched the web and can't find the answer. Does anyone know what the annuity reduction is when you choose the 100% Joint & Survivor option? I'm 62, husband is 63, 15 years service, annuity before reduction would be $1250 a month.

Am I not getting it or did you misunderstand my question?
I retired in 2009. Since then I have been teaching a half day at the high school I retired from. I teach French and half eighty students. Last month I was told my half day position had been cut. Is there any way I can protest this since I am technically a retired substitute?
I know WV has a hiring policy/code with certain criteria that should be followed when hiring new teachers. If you know that a district is not following the WV code, what steps can be taken against the district?

I wished I had access to this information about this school district before I applied and attempted to teach in the south. However when you live in a state that had 10 million people compared to the 1 million people who live in WV, one must explore why the South is in need of teachers than the northern states.
Does anyone know what else is paid for out of the "pot" that Jefferson Co., WV teachers salaries are paid from? I am trying to figure out what else could be cut from that budget--other than teachers! I am sure that there is something!

On the flip side...See MoreCome on Jefferson County! Keep the kids in school by punishing the parents! Not by giving "exemption" on exams. - You're not doing the children in our county any favors by doing this, sure their attendance may be better, but their test taking skills? NO! My daughter got to college and had no idea how to study for an exam.
On the flip side, this semester one of our teachers (who shall remain nameless at this point in time) gave out the study guide (required by law apparently?) gave the study guide to the class, proceeded to simply give them the answers for the study guide... "number one, b; number 2, d" and so on. On the day of the exam, he did his duty and handed out the little scantron paper, with the little fill in bubbles and told the class "pull out your study guides and fill in the letters" the kids were confused for a moment and then he explained "get out your study guides and fill in the same answers on the test sheet, one, b..." Yes, this actually happened! Of course his class did extremely well on the exam and he'll probably get a "great job" for their grades when in reality - they learn NOTHING in his class. The children are self-taught, "read this chapter and do the vocab" is the weekly command. No teaching, no history papers, no projects or encouraging words, just a man sitting at his computer every day, playing games and chatting it up with his wife on the computer. The turned in "work" of these students piles up to measurable amounts on his desk and he often loses their papers and argues with them as if he's a peer (this is the second time I've had a student in his class). This teacher should be on the upcoming RIF list. Sorry, I hate to see any teacher lose their job, but on the other hand there are plenty that will be on the list and shouldn't be but end up there out of pure luck. - just my two cents - to the staff at JHS, you know what teacher I'm speaking of, let him go, do what you need to do and get him out of there!
That being said, the writer JMO below is very correct - do the job you were given or don't have the job, simple as that. Not only are the kids not learning, but Mr LLLLLazy acts as if he's untouchable and that burns me up. So it continues from week to week and another school year will be done and he'll go sit for the summer and return to work and sit for another year not teaching anything really, other than how NOT to teach.
