Raises are only important if you desire the luxuries in life like heat, shelter, and food. If something isn't done pretty soon all teachers will be depending on food pantries.

Beth I vote raise. As long as they put Sp Ed teachers in the classroom ( which seems the world like an aide position to me) they don't need all the funding. I know I don't understand coteaching or Sp Ed. I may not, but I left Sp. Ed. after 19 years because they ruined the program. I work in a large school with 12 inclusion teachers. teachtilidieorstarve To anyone that is interested, I am part of a small group that will be meeting with House Education Chairwoman Mary Poling tonight. After this meeting, I think I'll have a good idea of how things are gonna go in the upcoming legislative session.

If anyone is interested, I would be more than willing to post my notes from the meeting.
