The Alliance to Save Energy is offering its Energy Hog program free of charge to WY educators thanks to funding provided by the Wyoming Business Council, Black Hills Power, and Cheyenne Light, Fuel, and Power. It is a really fun way to teach elementary students the basics of energy use in the U.S. including where our energy comes from, how we use energy, and why it's important to conserve. While funding lasts, free student workbooks are available, and teachers can borrow the Energy Hog mascot costume and a ready-made skit free of charge. Call Maria Ellingson at (419) 724-4571 with questions or to reserve a spot on the traveling Energy Hog costume calendar.
