I didn't pass again. I got a score of 6. I followed Dr. Jasper's way in her you_tube video. Any suggestions ?? Or help is appreciated. We need to help each others. dalrehani@yahoo.com
That is INCORRECT @ Kindaara; I obtained my professional years old. So, NONE of these exams benefit me. Also, these are the most recent discussions that pop-ups. Teachers.net shows you the most recent post; hence, how I came across these posts.
I just graduate with my master's in Early Childhood Education. I must take the FTCE Prekindergarten/Primary PK-3 to get cetified. If there is anyone who has taken this test please tell me where I can get materials to study. I would really appreciate the help.
trissHi! To both of you I am getting ready to take the test as well I'm just curious what has worked out for you for material wise i dont like to waste money but I would like some great advice to nail this test!
1) I am not a native English speaker. English is my 4th language. I have never studied English academically and I have been speaking it for 4 years only. Then IF I COULD DO IT, YOU CAN TOO!!!!!!
2) I began preparing my practice essays using Dr. Jasper's (Navaed) formula, but I soon realized that my essays were excessively long. I had to produce at least two tangible examples for each point...that was way too much. I kept looking for other experiences....then I come upon Learning Liaison on YOUTUBE.....this single video changed everything.
really, use this link....use this blueprint and you will succeed. This produces a very concise and straight to the point essay. I do not think I did something perfect on my tests. I am sure I repeated words and misplaced commas, but what I am 100% sure I had perfect was the structure. Not a sentence more or less...I followed that structure like a prayer.
4) Memorize the structure of each paragraph. Use the 10 minutes you have for the tutorial to write down the structure (the 4-5-5-5 sentences) and use general opening sentences for each paragraph. I used always the same thesis presentation sentence on the 1st and the closing sentence on the 4th, only changing the wording depending on the topic.
5)Practice. After you do 4 essays using this formula, you will see everything easier. Tray to prepare the opening sentence of each paragraph. Those are usually the most difficult to generate and if there is something scary on the test, it is the little time you have to produce something decent- only 50 minutes. You don't have time to think. You need to start writing right away. They only look for structure, believe me. I know I repeated the claim in the opening and at the end exactly as it was in the prompt. I didn't have time to restate it in my own words and I thought it would be better to have it with the same words than not have it at all.....so STRUCTURE is what matters (and acceptable grammar)
Sorry for the long post guys, but I think it may help you to pass. I wish you all the best and don't hesitate to contact me. I'm not an expert, but I will gladly share whatever it is to help you pass.
What is the best to study for the ESE certification test? I want to pass on the first try. I'm told to study the laws, then I'm told its just scenarios. I want to pass. I take it next month. I have passed 3 parts of my GK. I passed the writing, the math and reading.
