Twice I wasn't paid through the summer because I didn't start the first day of work, it was a couple of weeks into the year. Also, there are many places that don't pay August to August; they still past just during the period of the contract. They take out the money for the 12 months of benefits but don't spread the take home pay through the summer....See More

You have a contract with the district to pay you X amount for the school year. It's doesn't matter how it's doled out as long as you get the full amount of your pay for the year. When you resign as HR how they do it to make sure you get all the pay that you are owed.
