Anyone interested? It's a yearlong commitment: begins in either late September or Early October and ends in the spring. Teachers rotate travel buddies every 4-6 weeks (depends upon the number of participants). Some participants have been in the exchange for up to 8 years so we are a reliable group!
sta2millerWe use white wide paper. We also use the composition books intended for the lower grades. Usually called something like Primary Notebooks. dotted line with space on the top to draw a picture - marbled cover on outside.
Everyone must be getting busy with school starting soon. Ours start next week. I am going to start doing some consulting on line when they head back to school.
My exercise time has been cut back, so I have been trying to put more effort in the time I do spend on it. Today I spent time at the one room school. 75 people came through. It was warm and I did miss the outside time, getting in some walking. enjoyed visiting with the people. One young couple were visiting from Paris!
WW was good news on Friday. down 1.8# ! Finally a drop!
Hope everybody is enjoying some beautiful summer weather before the start of school. Keep movin" and groovin"!! :)
Bev, you really have good attendance at your school exhibit--75 seems like a grand number. Your effort-ful exercise is paying off.
5,126 steps today and 45 minutes of yoga. I spent most of the day polishing off a Power Point presentation for our Habitat auction on Friday. I couldn't figure out how to randomize the photos, so I googled and then generated a random list of numbers from 1-200 and then renamed each photo. It didn't take very long, and it did just what I wanted it to do. Tell me again, were we paralyzed by our lack of information prior to Google? Or, perhaps, we're paralyzed now by its overload.
A New Jersey school called in the police when a 3rd grader made an inappropriate comment deemed racist. This was an opportunity for a learning moment, but this wouldn't seem to be the way to approach it.
Bob R/CAThe article doesn't specify what he said. But really, should it matter? Is there anything that can be said (outside of a threat) that would justify the police being called?
Keyboarding OnlineYeah, seriously this is not the correct approach to treat students just for inappropriate comment. Such things should be sorted out at school level only.
