Thursday evening we had a short but powerful storm with high wind go through our neighborhood. Our power only went out for an hour but others down the street were out for 18 hours. We did lose our 10' plum tree in back. The wind broke the tree off at the base of the trunk. It took us almost 2 hours to cut it up with a chainsaw and I lugged it all to the front curb. Somehow I gained a half-pound today--I honestly don't know why--so I walked a tougher route for 11,000 steps and cut back even more on calories. We'll see.
