Go to Postcards and check out the 2017-2018 School Year Postcard Exchange by Dynoteach. There is a Google Doc that Megan created where you can sign up for your state. Please remember do not sign up if your state is already taken. Great experience for all grade levels! Have fun!
I'm going to be teaching my first year of Kindergarten and I'm trying to prepare as much as possible over the summer. What are some things that would be beneficial to prepare/work on now? Any tips/suggestions for how to focus/start planning out the curriculum for the first weeks/months of school? Any tips/suggestions for setting up routines/procedures? What routines/procedures should I focus on first on the very first day of school?
I would greatly appreciate any other advice/tips/suggestions that may help me as a new teacher. I want to start of the year strong & be prepared as possible. Thanks in advance for any tips/advice/suggestions!
Weigh in have been disappointing for the past few weeks. Looking for something to get over this bump in the road! I know there is no quick fix, but gee, that's what I want! lol
Bob R/CAI think you're trying to post from the chat center feed, instead of the teacher chatboard, and that feed isn't supposed to generate responses. I'll have a fix for that soon.
Men, congrats on sticking to your training and showing such great progress. This is your own personal Tour de France. And, you're doing it drug-free. ;) And, looking back, I see that my iPhone yesterday corrected "how" to "Howe" (a small town north of us) and I missed my last ). I really don't like typing on my phone.
Bev is also digging in the dirt. It's so therapeutic isn't it? Until the aching back kicks in, which is what the hot shower is for. Loved your "not one bit(3);" very clever.
Oh, Judy, I chuckle at your weenie weight program. Anyone doing exercises has my respect. It's so hard to get myself to do those things, even when I should or even when I love them (like yoga). Grrrrrr.
Yesterday I walked home from the grocery store (the watermelon rode home with DH) and then we biked after dinner. Well, sort of. Those clouds meant business even if weather.com didn't. We huddled under trees twice, and then gave up, satisfied with our effort, if not our mileage (less than 5). We also walked the nature trail (1.5 miles).
Today I walked with my DSIL and also by myself. 11,702 steps.
