I am currently collecting data on 'What makes a good language teacher' and would be very grateful if you could spare some time to complete the questionnaire (link below)
Judy, I see you posted under yesterday. The board is a big goofy tonight; I used the back door to post this one. I love your love of the outdoors--wish I could see your reservoir. Stay in touch next week. Hugs.
10,143 steps today. It's very warm here. And very windy. What a joy to have summer for a day! Lots of catching up today after being gone/having company for 9 days. Mostly that means I edited photos, though I did clean a toilet or two as well. Ha!
10,362 steps for me: pt workout, ww weigh in (+.6), lunch with DH, then walked the east line of our property (dense woods). Neighbors, two places down are having their wood cut, and I wanted to check that they were not on our property which runs behind their place. They are not and even have it staked off. I almost went down a couple of times, not picking up my foot over sticks. Managed to keep my balance! :) DH said he wasn't going to carry me like he had to once (30 some years ago)! LOL
Judy, I'm also posting under yesterday. The board is a bit goofy tonight. I love your love of the outdoors--wish I could see your reservoir. Stay in touch next week. Hugs.

We are steppers. We are persistent about moving. We are persistent about posting, even when it's not easy and even when it's "singing" commercials to us.
In the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children's future. And we are all mortal.
Happy to report in with 13,267 steps today. Zumba class this morning, followed by 1 mile hall walking, then DS and I walked my route through and around town. We had lunch with DM, then headed for an afternoon of browsing/shopping. Those steps really added up. I am ready for the tub after this! lol
Elaine/ret/INBev, how fun to do your walk with your DS, and then you added additional movement! Nothing beats the bathtub after a working-out day.
Just 30 minutes of walking today. Rain. DD and DGS. Birthday party with the whole family (minus SIL) for DH. Great day for love. Not so great for exercise. ;)
I am trying to create a tool for teachers to aid the process of learning names and faces of students in the beginning of the school year. I am conducting a survey regarding to this and it would really help me out if you can spend 5 minutes on this short survey. I appreciate your input in advance. Have a great evening.

Hi Barb - love your daily apple seeds, they've been inspiring teachers here for so many years!
You may want to avoid the markup for now, I'm testing a new chatboard system, and I'm thinking that if I allow markup at all, it would be for logged in users.
I've stayed in the entertainment area twice. Two different hotels. Once for three days. Once for seven.
No matter where you stay you'll need a car so I'd go for the value of the hotel. It's not a walkable destination area. But there is plenty of parking. I'd look for the nicest hotel I could get for a reasonable price.
The second time we stayed we actually stayed at a time share resort that also rented. The rate was very good and we had a small kitchenette area that enabled us to have breakfast in the room. It was very nice and had all of the conveniences that a traveler would want. It even had an evening, once a week, where performers from various shows would come and give a preview of their show.

DH and I cleaned up the huge tree that fell a week or so ago. Just missed the house by 10 feet! Now I am "eyeballing" the other trees on the edge of the woods.......Scary!
7,834 steps for today...pt workout and 2 miles hall walking. Should have been a country road walk, but too many things to do, getting ready for DS visit. :)
I solo walked the reservoir today in a light sprinkle, umbrella in one hand, cane (just in case) in the other. Thank goodness listening to a book doesn't require a hand.
