Has anyone had success in getting professionals to visit their schools in order to give students an ice of what a particular profession would be like? It's been my experience that sometimes children from underprivelged areas don't get exposure to certain professions, and that may limit their aspirations and dreams. If you have conducted such sessions, do you find them beneficial? What are some best practices?

Deb ms/IA It depends on what your purpose is. Do you want to introduce several careers to elementary students or do you want a little more in depth presentations to secondary students?
