Thanks, Steps, for being our founder/historian. I thought it seemed like longer than two years.

Cold and blustery here today. We walked our 30 minutes outside, but for the rest of my walk, I opted for the gym. I'm still 775 steps short of my 10K, but I'm off to a meeting now. I hope to finish later tonight.

Keep stepping. Elaine

men That's cool the roll call can be traced back to2011. I had never been on that other tnet site so I had assumed it started on this general site. Thanks, steps! .

steps (Excuse my long post today. I haven't been posting and wanted to give a little message to each of you today.) :)

A good day for me today: 18,592 steps for two walks. I walked the dog around the neighborhood about 1 mile, and then I walked about 6.3 miles on the trails. The paths were just a little sticky from the rain yet. I didn't mind it, though, which says something: That I felt good being out there. And motivated. Yay!

JRod: So great to hear from you. Thank you telling me of your struggles, too. I have faith in you that this time you will get back on on track. Me, too. Happy Birthday, by the way! Perfect gift to yourself is any gift that helps you be your best and healthiest self. My dh has a problem with plantar fasciitis, too, and I see how it can be a real issue when it comes to exercise. Careful with that.

men: You have already encouraged JRod to take up spinning. Isn't that awesome? Yay, you. A bit of history: The Roll Call had always been the Main board, even before 2011, but it was never as consistently posted until this reincarnation, which we can thank our judy for re-starting it. In 2011, Tnet added a lot of new boards, Healthy Teachers being one of them. I started posting the Roll Call thread over there, thinking that's where Bob R/CA wanted us to post. But it got started up on the Main Board once again, and with more posters visiting this page than the Healthy Teachers one, so I stopped posting it there. And here we are! Bev: Careful on the slick driveway and cooler temps. If you are at your mom's you may have to take up housewalking, like poster "Old Walker", though I'm sure she's younger in spirit and health than her name suggests due to all her walking! ;) Where are you Old Walker?

Elaine: Rain certainly gives us walkers a challenge, doesn't it? Good job on the yoga. You must be flexible and have great balance. So important.

Judy: We are scheduled for rain later today. Isn't it great? The hills are turning green. Beautiful. Keep up the steppin'. Judy, do you like walking with your walking sticks? A hiker once told me it gives you a better workout than walking without them. Burns more calories, maybe?

Babs: Your activities always make me smile. You have a wonderful life filled with family and fun. Hooray for you keeping up your walks. Florida--does that make you what they call a snowbird? :)

Ron: You are doing really with your walks. Hope your wife wasn't too mad at you for losing her Fitbit after borrowing it one time! Ha, I think I would have been mad if it were my dh. Getting her a quick replacement was a good idea. :)

Alison/AUS: Congratulations on being a "Runner"! That is quite an accomplishment, even coming back after your fracture. That took determination and grit.

I'm sorry if I forgot anyone. And if there are any lurkers out there, come join in. We'd love to hear what you do. It motivates me, and you just might encourage others.

Elaine/ret/IN Steps, I never knew there was a Healthy Teachers board. It looks like it's not very active at this point.
