Years ago, when I went to high school, history was a requirement for graduation as was a course in civics or government. In fact, I believe we had to take two history courses - American History and World history as well as government. In the last couple of years, I have heard several people mention they don't think history/government/civics are being taught anymore. True or not true? Are these required for graduation in your district or school?

That's why we will never be the UNITED states; too many are ignorant of how our government and at times doesn't work. We cannot be united until we have a truly educated populace.
