People, even family, friends, and colleagues, seem to think all of their "friends" are customers. I've been hounded to buy CDs, "Lularoe leggings" essential oils, poorly written eBooks, Boy Scout popcorn, Girl Scout cookies, donate to Kickstarters and GoFundme's and buy bad photos that I could do a better job of with my cellphone. Then there were the please come to Jenny Sue's recital, my poetry slam, ad nauseam. So I unplugged. No more Facebook. No dramatic posts beforehand saying I'm gonna leave if you don't stop turning my page into a billboard for your crap. If anyone else is considering doing the same, it is wonderful! I have an extra hour or two in my day, and I'm not frustrated by having to respond to sales pitches and removing sales pitches from my page--how rude of people to do that! It was fun sharing pix and stuff, at first. Glad to be done with Facebook!
