When will I learn?! As you know I was so excited last week with my new strength training program that I did two workouts in one day. Well, that was a huge mistake! I was unable to walk or get up without pain. It was a bit more than the usual soreness I feel after most new workouts. After taking the rest of the week off to recover, I did some research.

Here is what I figured my big errors were:

1. Doing back to back workouts, even though I felt great doing them, was all wrong.

2. Not stretching after the workout to do a proper cool down really was a huge mistake.

So today was a reboot day. I started my program over. I tried some of the tips I found in my research that would possibly reduce the horrible soreness I experienced last week. judycaret Thank goodness our regular caregiver is back! I walked a little over 10,000 steps this morning. Yay!

That injury stuff is no fun, BV and JRod! Hope you both feel better.

I know I have always tried to change it up to avoid burn out and overuse of the same muscles to avoid injury.
