Elaine, how is your dog bite healing? I hope you find a new route for your walks.

We repeated the route from last Saturday but with one less stop and at a faster pace. So, with the adjustments I made since last Saturday, I saw a lot of improvement in a week. It helped also that it was 10 degrees cooler, too. Drinking an electrolyte replenishment drink and moving my gears so that the back tire didn't feel like a brake was in helped the most. I have hope again that I can accomplish my end of August long ride goal. We rode 12 miles plus I rode my bike to and from the meeting place.

Keep movin' everybody!
judycaret Good work, men!

Phew, hard time getting here--had to use old name. Let's see what posts. Finally got to walk 10,000 steps after 5 days of 0 (no caregiver). Tomorrow is company then I should be back on track for a while starting Monday.

Elaine/ret/IN Thanks for asking, Men. The bite is healing nicely, and the tetanus shot isn't very sore any more either. Yes, definitely a new route. Darn, I'll miss the trees on the street where the dog lives.

I envy you for mastering your gears. Mine seem a mystery to me, and I always revert to my tried-and-true 1-favorite-speed.

I'm so glad t...See More
