I believe the problem has been fixed, but you have a setting cached. When you read this, hold down shift and click control-r or click the reload icon. I think I know what's happening (because it just happened to me). The page is actually throwing up an alert, but if you're typing the keystroke can be interpreted as a confirmation and the page redirects/refreshes. I'll change the mechanism so that won't happen.

I think that part of the problem (for me, at least) is when I work from my phone, which is, of course, often. (I heard a stat that 75% of website traffic is via mobile phone.) I think you're trying to post from the chat center feed, instead of the teacher chatboard, and that feed isn't supposed to generate responses. I'll have a fix for that soon.
