So, I'm a new teacher this year but have previously worked as a teacher assistant in special education with children with emotional/behavioral disabilities. Well now I'm in general education and I'm dealing with some serious behavioral problems from a student. Being that I've previously worked in sped I have been trying to use similar strategies to deal with the behaviors. I have a student that is very defiant (always breaking things, aggressive to other students, runs/hides in the classroom, throws things) & doesn't accept redirection well. The student already has previous documentation for behaviors. It's a lot harder trying to focus so much attention on one student when you have a large class. Any suggestions on how to easily document these behaviors? Advice on dealing with the behaviors?
