I have family who lives just north of Tampa and as I read and see the reports, I know they are going to be hit hard tonight via winds, rain, flooding and tornados. My sil has done all possible to prepare(they have been through a few of these before but never a direct hit) I have been reading her posts over the past week and this morning's posts are showing the fears and terror yet to come despite feeling so confident just days ago

. I feel like I have been watching one of those horror movies that start out so normal and then we the viewers see how the horrible things that are going to happen are building up. However, this isn't a movie or make believe but a true story unfolding before us.

I live in an area where tornados just show up and we often have minutes to get to safety. Often no time to prepare. Having family documenting their thoughts and fears over several days knowing now that they are facing the worst is new to me.

Tim We appreciate your prayers and it looks as though they were affective in my area. My wife and I are both middle school teachers in Bradenton. School closed Friday giving folks a chance to get on the road but we decided to stay and help run a shelter in an elementary school in our neighborhood. 24 of our schools opened as shelters.
