So I am trying to determine if my wife possesses the correct prereqs to become a certified bilingual teacher in Texas. She has the legal right to live and work in Texas. She is from Mexico and graduated from UANL in Monterrey, Mexico with a bachelors degree in "International Relations in Trade and Customs". UANL is one of the top school systems in Mexico and has multiple accreditations. She speaks, writes and reads what I believe is a fluent level of English. She would like to teach primary school, preferably bilingual classes. My sister is a teacher in Texas so I am familiar with the fact that any bachelors degree from an accredited institution in the US is good enough to become certified as long as you pass the certification test. My question is if this also applies to foreign degrees? Also, would she need any type of teaching experience?
